The Psalms Care Collective was founded on a simple conviction:

Quality care is built, not assumed.

Founder Amaka Richard-Tella is a qualified social worker, senior social care leader and former Director of Children’s Services with nearly fifteen years experience leading and stabilising complex social care services across the UK.

She has held senior leadership and advisory roles across residential care, family assessment, supported accommodation, fostering and community services and has led the development and turnaround of services operating under intense regulatory and commissioning scrutiny.

Her experience includes leading DfE- funded services from inception, translating national policy into operationally sound, compliant and sustainable provision. She is trusted at executive and board level to guide organisations through periods of complexity, growth and change.

The Psalms Care Collective was founded to support social care organisations build services that are not only compliant, but structurally sound, values-led, bold and resilient in the real world.

Our Values

Integrity

Doing the right thing, even when it is uncomfortable or costly.

We are honest about risk, readiness and reality. We do not cut corners, overpromise or shield poor practice.

Our advice is independent, evidence-based and grounded in regulation and lived experience

Wisdom

Turning experience into discernment.

We bring perspective, not panic.

We help leaders see what matters, what can wait and what must change now.

Our work is shaped by years of frontline leadership, regulatory scrutiny and system-level decision making

Excellence

Embedding high standards that hold under pressure.

We design services that stand up to inspection, scrutiny and real-world complexity.

Excellence for us is not ‘to polish’. It’s consistency, accountability and outcomes that last beyond our involvement.

Compassion

Holding people to account without losing their humanity.

We work alongside leaders and teams with respect, clarity and care.

We understand the emotional weight of this work and we do not avoid hard conversations because of it.

Hope

Building systems that allow people to flourish.

Hope is not wishful thinking.

It is what emerges when structures are safe, leadership is confident and teams are supported to do their best work.

Our aim is sustainable services, not short-term fixes.
